* Take print out and listen to the video tutorial of Raag Mian Malhar. Keep your eyes on the sheet to understand better.
* Play the swars/musical notes on your harmonium or synthesizer and sing along without tabla accompaniment first.
* Get all the swars right!
* Now try and sing without playing on harmonium.
* Next, sing one line each on tabla, from your comfortable scale.
* Keep practicing every day!
* when you know the raag well, try and sing alaaps and taans in 'aakaar'.
