* Sing without tabla accompaniment first.

* Play and check your swars on harmonium or synthesizer.

* Practice well till you are able to sing the raag on tanpura.

* Now you are ready to sing Raag Patdeep on tabla. Sing one line at a time and check if taal is correct. 

* Once you know the swars and taal well, try and sing alaaps and taans in 'aakaar'
